Privacy notice
Written under the Protection of Personal Information Act. Plain language, because a notice nobody reads protects nobody.

Who is responsible
Website Building Brothers & Co, Cape Town, Western Cape. We are not a registered company yet, so the responsible party is a person: Chase van de Rheede, reachable at websitebuildingbrothersco@gmail.com. That address is also how you reach the Information Officer, because they are the same person.
What we collect
Only what you send us. If you use the contact form that is your name, your email address and your message. If you send a configuration from the builder, that is the choices you made. It holds nothing about you that you did not type.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not build a profile of you. The builder runs entirely in your browser: nothing you click in it reaches us until you choose to send it.
Why we have it
To answer you and to quote for work. That is the whole purpose. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not become work is deleted within twelve months. If you become a client, we keep what the work needs and what the law requires us to keep, and no more.
Who else sees it
Our email provider, and the hosting platform that serves this site. Nobody else. We do not share enquiries with other businesses, including the ones we work alongside.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email the address above and we will answer within a reasonable time and at no cost. You do not have to give a reason.
If we get it wrong
Tell us first and we will fix it. If that does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, which oversees POPIA and takes complaints directly.
Changes
If this notice changes we update the date at the top. We do not quietly rewrite it.
